I love deep shades of blue and purple
October 30, 2007, I took one of those random online surveys. It really amazes me how they can be so accurate. This one got not only my favorite colors…. you should see my wardrobe…..but also very much nailed my personality. So this is a throwback to 16 years ago. you are blueviolet#8A2BE2 Your dominant hues…

Horse of a different color
I’m still sketching when I can. I’ve completed several birds and decided to attempt another animal species. I’ve always had a fascination with horses my whole life. Being raised in the city, my dream of owning a horse didn’t happen until I was grown and bought a house and a few acres in a rural…

Grandfather clock
We love clocks in our home. There is an old simple Mission style long case clock my brother gifted me years ago around 2000 that stands in the dining area. It is very dear to my ❤️ and will be cherished all my life. There is also a chiming wall clock in the living room…

When you get a hankering..
For some good old-fashioned chicken and dumplings but you want to keep it healthy. There is a long debate on whether drop dumplings came from the south or the north. The Scot-Irish in me….
… was really jonesing for some traditional comfort food. So we headed to our favorite local Irish pub Harp & Clover. We were told that the chef is now full owner which is wonderful because he can expand and cook what ever his Irish genes thinks up. I expect to see even more Irish specialties…

Anatomy of fig canning
Today was extremely long, busy, and productive. I can say I’m officially tired! I started the canning process for fig preserves around 10 this morning after harvesting another 10 cups to add to the 54 cups I already had. So 64 cups of figs were hand processed today by Lil ole ME. So very glad…

A Necessary Rant
I just have to discuss this issue that seems to be growing. I honestly will never understand the need of people to leave a mark…… an unnecessary damaging mark on nature. The words Group think comes to mind….. you know those people that tend to do whatever the others do without rhyme or reason? I…
