We are in full blown southern summer time heat in our little mountain home. Yet life carries on no matter the weather. Meals must be prepared to feed and energize our bodies.
The heat calls me outside to the grill to not only enjoy beautiful summer days while cooking but also to keep from heating up the house with oven heat. These grilled meals are delicious simple ingredients. Today’s side dish was a combined potato variety, carrots and onions spiced and grilled to perfection with a touch of olive oil.
The entrée was pork chops with a spicy Louisiana season. So where is the classy part of this simple meal, you may ask.

It comes in the form of my choice of beverage for the meal. Just before starting the food on the grill, I spent some time preparing this beverage. I made a homemade Lemonade that creates half a gallon of lemony sweetness. But I didn’t stop there. I made a smaller amount of blueberry goodness that I’ll not detail because it was a recipe given to me on request. Once added to the larger concoction, we had our classy refreshing delicious cooloff beverage.

Bon Appétit
and
Stay frosty, my friends 😁
